Aleiya Olu is the founder of From Us to You, a Detroit-based design consultancy, and an emerging designer who has long kept a finger on the city’s creative pulse.
Olu developed a keen interest in design while living in a 1920s furniture showroom converted into lofts in Eastern Market. Moved by Detroit’s cultural blueprint, Olu began to study industrial design and ergonomics. The resulting work, the Lyndon Chair, named after a street on Detroit’s westside, intuitively mirrors the familiarity of intimate spaces and functionality.
In addition to From Us to You, Olu is a partner at Olu & Company, a strategic marketing firm working with clients at the intersection of art, design, and social justice. She is also the co-founder of Detroit Art Week, playing a pivotal role in advancing the careers of many emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
